The James Bay Neighbourhood Association (JBNA) will be hosting an All Candidates Meeting for city council (excluding mayoral candidates). Community forums like this are essential for local democracy, giving James Bay residents a direct opportunity to hear from candidates and discuss the issues that impact our neighbourhood.

Who Can Attend: In-person attendance is reserved for James Bay residents. Proof of address verification will be required. Maximum 200 seats.

Who Can Submit Questions: Anyone interested in candidate platforms can submit questions online, even if you are not attending the meeting. Preference is given to questions relating to James Bay.

Registration Deadline: Online registration to reserve a seat closes end of day on September 18th.
- Time & Location: Friday, September 25th at the Hotel Grand Pacific (463 Belleville St.)

Event Schedule:
- 6:15 PM: Doors open for pre-registered attendees to mingle with candidates.
- 6:30 PM: Deadline for pre-registration check-in. Doors open to general public until capacity is reached.
- 7:00 PM: Meeting begins.
Seating & Capacity Guidelines

Seating Cap: Attendance is capped at 200 registered seats based on venue space. If full capacity is reached, registrants will be placed on a waitlist.

Arrivals & Standees: Registered guests must check in at the registration tables by 6:30 PM. Unclaimed seats may be released to waiting attendees just before 7:00 PM. Standing-only space along the sides and back of the room may be available as space permits.

Cancellations: If your plans change, please notify organizers prior to September 25th by emailing jbna@jbna.org so waitlisted members can take your spot.

Volunteers: Dedicated event volunteers will have seats reserved prior to doors opening.

Non-Registrant Submissions: If you are unable to attend or prefer not to register, you are still encouraged to submit questions for the candidates using the online form.

Focus Areas: Questions highlighting James Bay neighbourhood concerns are preferred, though broader platform and city-wide topics are also welcome. While individual responses cannot be guaranteed, all submissions will be evaluated to identify common themes for the panel.
